Kazancompressormash supplied compressor equipment to Iran

Kazanсompressormash (part of HMS Group) manufactured and supplied four associated gas compressor units to the Islamic Republic of Iran for the Bid Boland project under an export contract.

One-section centrifugal compressor units with vertically split casing developed by specialists of NIIturbokompressor (part of HMS Group) in accordance with the requirements of API 617 international standard are designed for compression of associated petroleum gas with high hydrogen sulfide content and its supply from the field to the gas processing plant in the Persian Gulf region.

The compressors are made according to the “casing in casing” design and represent a single assembly unit, which is their design feature allowing to significantly reduce the time and scope of work during the maintenance period. The Institute's designers have specially developed split bearings for them, also complying with API 617 standard.

Special attention of the designers of NIIturbokompressor was paid to the selection of material design of assemblies in the course of joint research work with the laboratory of St. Petersburg and Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, according to the results of which the optimal material composition of assemblies directly interacting with the pumped gas was determined in accordance with the NACE MR 175 standard.

Acceptance tests of the compressor units were successfully conducted in the presence of the Customer's representatives and fully confirmed the compliance of the technical characteristics of the equipment with all the declared requirements.
