Delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation visited a construction site in Zelenodolsk

On August 27, 2024, a delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation headed by Mikhail Kuznetsov, Director of the Department of Mechanical Engineering for the Fuel and Energy Sector, visited the Complex for the Production of High-performance LNG Compressor Units being constructed by Kazancompressormash (HMS Group) in Zelenodolsk. This is the first complex in the Russian Federation for assembly and closed gas circuit testing of high capacity compressor equipment. The test bench is designed for up to 10.0 MPa operating pressures and up to 110 MW design drive power. The implementation of this project will allow establishment of production and testing of the key type of process equipment for large-capacity LNG plants - mixed refrigerant compressor units.

Ilnur Ildarovich Sagdiyev, Managing Director of Kazancompressormash, told the guests that commissioning of the Complex will ensure technological self-sufficiency from foreign suppliers, and the achieved technical level and efficiency indicators of the equipment will ensure the feasibility of successful implementation of investment projects and competitiveness of domestic manufacturers' products for key customers in the Russian Federation and in the global LNG market.
